guyrandom posted an update
I got a grease monkey clone that is has been flowering for some for some time. I have been watching the tricombs go from clear to clear and milky but not a single amber on the plant.

How long have you been in flower? I’ve noticed the Grease monkey is like 9 to 10 weeks flower time. But keep following them trikes for what’s your after.
-
@fishenmann sweet, I will give it another week or so in hopes to get at least a couple ambers

Coming up on week 9 in flower

I’ve often heard 80% cloudy or 30% amber. Whichever comes first. The amber from what I’ve heard are actually the trichomes dying. I thought that was pretty interesting!
-
@zoomycat I have heard of that and harvested by that principle but after a few years I prefer about 10-15% max of amber tricombs. Almost zero clear tricombs and 85 – 90% cloudy.

@guyrandom Cool Cool. You’ve dialed in so it is good evening feels but not the straight to bed feels. I’ll check your recommendation sometime 😉

@zoomycat I am under the impression the life cycle of the tricomb is clear to cloudy to amber. I’ve got 80% cloudy but zero amber so I’m gonna wait a week or 2. If I ever see black leaves then it has gone way too far.

@guyrandom yeah this was my understanding as well I’ve just not done a lot of harvesting yet.
