• Assassin Bug?

This wild looking thing bounced off my forehead today when I was inside the lung room. Doing some researching I think that it’s called an assassin bug. Wild that it’s shown up now that it’s freezing outside here in Ohio. There’s not been bugs around for months and now this shows up?

Is my “best guess” at what bug this is, a correct guess ?

And are they beneficial and safe to have in my grow room?

Thanks for any helpful info on these questions..

      • We call them sink bugs because they stink if you kill them or piss them off. They like dead leaves or decaying plant material.

        But I’m no expert. 🤷🏽‍♂️

        • Looks like a stink bug. I see them often. With the mild start to winter they’re still out, trying to get inside. I saw a big cloud of mosquitoes a few days ago. Smh.
