OMG and the hits just keep coming, my husband just called me and said it is going to cost $100 to $200 to fix my electric wheelchair. 🙁
Let me back up a bit, the day after Christmas we had to go to the Hydro store called Cool Digs and it is not very handicap friendly and they have approx. 2” bump you have to go over to get in and a wheelchair has to over with back wheels first and as I was on my way in, the front right wheel assembly broke and next thing I know my husband is grabbing the chair and an arm comes around me from behind to catch me from falling, I was so shook up that I didn’t have the heart to tell the guy he had my boob in his hand. I was just grateful for him helping my husband in keeping me from falling.
I feel so done right now. 🙁
Hash and Sasquatch-
Hope the year gets better for you.

Idk. I’d talk to the guy maybe? Here if you’re open to the public you have to be ADA compliant. Don’t want to bring the hammer down on him but he should be aware and should come outside to help you in the future. 🙂 hope it gets better

@marizema I went thru this with family and was gonna suggest just this. The ADA will make sure it’s compliant for sure!

Thank-You all for the advice. We got a call from the welder that my chair can be picked up first thing in the morning which is great, however he said he isn’t going to charge for for it which was like thank-you so much until he added. It may not last because of where it broke. 🙁 Anyway, thank-you for the advice, we will be talking to the owner of the store.
