I keep seeing Memes of Indica vs Sativa and the effects, I used to believe these too but these days I’m not entirely sure.
The first plant I grew I had to harvest early, This obviously had an energizing effect due to the trichome and terpene age profile. The Harvest time made the 80/20 Indicia dominant cultivar something that did not give any drowsiness during the daytime.
I’ve not grown Sativa because they used to be what would freak me out and cause a bad trip. I stuck with Indica mostly but since I started growing and harvested that plant I have so many internal questions on these profiles.
If you let a Sativa get more amber will it have more couch lock and act like what people view an Indica would act?
So is there really anything to the Sativa vs Indica? Is it more about harvest time than whether its Sativa or Indica? I really wonder all this. For now I stay a Indica guy but I wonder if I can safely branch out without issues on the growing side.
With only having a plant count of 4 and the time it takes for plants to mature its hard for me to stray from what might just be my belief in bro science… I need input from other growers on their experiences.

Indica will smk like sativa and sativa will smoke like an indica depending on how long you let mature they both will test the same thc or around the same strain depending sativa takes 3-4 months to flower to indica taking 2 months to flower most strains these days are “hybrid ” so hard to find any true sativa or true indica. I have 13yrs experience growing and from my personal experience you can get what you’re looking for from either

I have been on this quest as well. We got some Sour Diesel a while back and it was a super sativa feel. 2 weeks later got some more and it was the total opposite! Both times were from different harvests. I figured it was all in the harvest which is exactly why I’m so stressed about when to cut mine! LOL

@ZoomyCat We’re shooting for a cerebral effect. Gonna get the harvest early on when the trichomes are cloudy and just turning amber. Hopefully it won’t get to couch lock!
