On the topic of defoliation. I do 3 almost complete strips in my setup. One right before flip, one around day 20, and one around day 40. On the left you can see before the strip, second pic is after strip in the middle, and the third pic is 3 days later exactly. You can see that they didn’t mind it one bit. This isn’t really optional for me the way I grow in my 2×4 otherwise the temps and humidity become unmanageable. I take almost every fan leaf except for the very top set every time.
