8 hours agoGrow Talk I just repotted my babies last night, im running a layered soil mix with foxfarm ocean forest on the bottom and happy frog for the top half with grow dots throughout with the thought that happy frog has what the plants need now and ocean forest is what the plants will need later

Layered soil in a small pot is pointless. This is not a good idea at all. The roots will reach the sides and bottom of the pot within a few days. The roots will be in all layers in 3 days.

@jmystro day 2 so far no transplant shock or negative symptoms 5 gallon pots the plants will let me know if this was a blunder

Happy Frog contains alot of the same nutrients as ocean forest anyways (bat guano, worm castings, etc.) Sounds like marketing tactics
