Not all leaf issues are caused by a lack of available nutrition. Especially mineralized bottled or powdered nutrition that contains all the essential elements. Mineral lockout and mineral unavailability are two different things. There are many ways to damage roots.

it really is so much to take in but thats why I love it. Thanks for the reply

ill check it out right now thanks for your help on both posts today

Necrotic lower leaves are typically caused by pH stress (hopefully) or pythium (root rot).

Is there any media under those rocks or is it 100% hydro? If so, what’s the water temperature? About 68-70F is where you want the water temperature with hydro.
-
its just hydro, I think it is the ph, it keeps on rising on me. up to 7+ im trying to check it more often to keep it down but temps rarely go over 70 with my room temp being low this time of year

pH is the issue. Measuring pH could be another issue. Digital meters lose their ability to give accurate readings over time as the neutral reference probe that contains potassium chloride will leach out giving false readings. I always suggest having pH drops as an analog way of checking pH. Get the pH down to 5.5 and you’ll be good.

is it normal for it to move around so much in veg? flower seems to be stable but veg is chaotic sometimes
-
The high nitrogen ratio in veg is less acidic than the high phosphate ratio in flower. Plant available phosphate (H2PO4) is only a little less acidic than the pH down phosphoric acid (H3PO4) you’re using.

man theres so much to learn with this. I love it so much and w info

I had to add about 7ml of ph down to 5 gal bucket buck its down to 5.5-5.8 now. thank you for your help today

its just the 4 bottom leaves, the leaves are rolling up like a measuring tape

i have been checking my ph more frequently keeping it under 6.0 and let the roots soak in some recharge well see if that helps in a couple days
-
I thought you wanted a pH of 6.2-6.3 for that setup. What is your normal range with your setup?
-
for dwc they say 5.5-6.5 im just keeping it around 5.8
