Why change what is working good if you got the dank don’t change what is working just my 2cents worth there is no real answer to your question in my opinion what works for one person does not work for the next person me and my neighbor both grow the same genetics same tents same light exactly same set up mine is purple his is light green but post the results so we can all learn from your findings if you do change

Experiment on a plant or two, not an entire run. You don’t want to try something new and ruin a run if it doesn’t work out the way you were hoping for. Watering more often with less water is a crop-steering technique used by commercial grows for better yields.

I try and focus on consistency.

Currently, I saturate and allow for dry back but never drooping.

Dry back give time for root to grow and seek water rather than have it everywhere around ,bigger roots bigger fruits fam.

A healthy rhizosphere requires dissolved oxygen (O2) as well as moisture (H2O). Water is not able to hold as much oxygen as the air, so roots can consume the available oxygen in the water to the point where roots start to ‘suffocate’ pretty quick. There is really no such thing as over-watering. Roots can live submerged as long as O2 levels are sufficient. In comparison, CO2 is about 200 times more soluble than oxygen. As long as oxygen levels are high, you can water coco damn near as often as you like. But know this, plants uptake far more water than minerals so if your EC/PPM is too high, over time salts will form during the dry back periods creating an acidic media. When it comes to feeding, more often should have a lower PPM than less often when PPM can be a bit higher. A nuclear dose of oxygen free radicals will kill life in a soil (like microbes, fungus gnat eggs/larvae, etc.), but lower doses can add oxygen without harming microbes. A 3 or 4:1 ratio of water to 3% H2O2 can kill microbes and some pests. 2-3 teaspoons per gallon of 3% hydrogen peroxide will not harm microbes while adding extra oxygen to your media. This is how you’d water/feed a media like coco more often. Plenty of growers supplement CO2 for their leaves and ignore the O2 boost roots love.

Hey brother this is a great question and I’m gonna bring it up to Jerin and Rasta Jeff on tomorrows live. I’m sure they’ll have some great advice. I know there’s benefits to both. It has to do with dryback % and what kind of growth you’re going for.

I seem to remember on a recent Monday panel show that more frequent watering with smaller intervals between drybacks was beneficial during veg, and less frequent but higher volume watering was beneficial during flower. I’m eager to hear what the consensus is tomorrow.

Within 3 days your plant should be drinking 3L of water this will indicate a healthy plant after the second week of vegetative growth after its a seedling

I water more often. Especially in flower. I don’t want any stress other than defoliation. I switched to that water schedule this grow and I can tell a good difference. Of course it would take a few grows to know.
