Water Reservoir

I have an indoor grow with water needing to be brought in from outside. I’m wanting to put a 20 gallon or larger reservoir in the grow area, but not sure if the materials used in a rubbermaid trash can would leach into the water and effect the outcome of the flower. I.e. microplastics. If anyone has some knowledge on what makes a good reservoir for holding water please let us know.

I think there is a number on the container somewhere that is supposed to let you know…

    Look for HDPE or #2.

To use. High Density is less permeable.

Thank Ya, I was looking at hydro store and they have collapsible reservoir. Costs a little more but I’ll know it’s contam free. So hopefully my local guy has one or can order one.

I use a black 55 gallon former “food” drum.

            A collapsible reservoir… outside, sure.

            Garage …maybe

Inside…ha ha ha , would never happen for me. I’m a master plumber. No way I’m puttin water in something that collapses in my home.

And that my friends is why we ask questions. @BIG_EAUX for the save. I have access to tons of those very barrels. I live in the country. I just thought a bit bulky and overkill, but would leave room for expansion.
