Promix, Clonex, spray bottle, and a humidome…

Put your cups (filled with Promix) in a planter tray and fill the tray with a half inch or so of water to moisten the media without compacting it…

Sanitize your equipment of course…also wear PPE (gloves/glasses)… The hormones in the clonex aren’t something you wanna come in contact with…but will get roots fast.

Clip your cuttings (one plant at a time, then either sanitize or switch your cutting tools) and then put them into a small cup with the clonex in it (say a quarter inch deep in a solo cup) for about 5 mins.

Plant your cuttings into the cups… Clip the fan leaves…spray everything down…close dome, but open the vents slightly… don’t open for at least a week…

Roots in under 10 days most times.

The things about your experiment is different plants will root differently regardless of method. You can’t just take a cutting from one plant put it in rock wool or whatever and cutting from a different plant and put it in pro mix or whatever and use that as a comparison between the 2 mediums. I got a mom plant that will give me roots every time in about 5 to 7 days. Her sister out of the same pack of seeds just didn’t like to root. Took like 2 weeks and made the little plant cutting go through hell just to get roots. Since cloning is so important I’d advise you master a method and stick with it and perfect it to the strains you end up with over time.

The thing about what I was doing was for fun. When taking close to 100 clones that you can’t afford to take do to supplie shortage. I already have a system that gets me 95 % from all 5 of my strains

Sorry if I came off as a kill joy man I was actually just trying to promote success and increase joy. I feel you about having fun with it if you got extra and already got the cloning down. Just for kicks I kept a clone alive inside a sealed jar for over a month before and it looked so good. With in hours after I opened the jar it withered and died right away!
