I had posted something on this topic when I heard Scotty mention it on one of his videos. I had did it several times for a year. Taking 2 plants from 1 gallon pots joining them together with tape then into 10 gallon pots . The results worked fine. There was a 30/40% yield increase!! So for a little upfront work my test was a success for roughly 20 plants.

Also the legal issue 1 plant. Once joined one root ball.
