stillsmokinoneParticipantMarch 24, 2025 at 12:52 pmHas anyone done Dr. Bruce’s suggestion of 48 hours of light at the end of harvest? Would 60 hours be better than 48? It’s like giving them 5 days worth of energy in the last 2.5 days.. I’m sitting at 47 hours right now, but don’t see any reason why another 12 would hurt??

My only concern I guess, would be any stress the lights put on the buds and it starts growing white pistils again. But being only for a couple days probably isn’t long enough for any negative effects to show up. Give it a shot, if anything at least the plant won’t be full of water when you chop.

I’ve been doing 18/6 last 1-2 weeks for my last two runs and I’m pulling over 1lb out of a 2×4. I feel like it helps with the fade and some last minute bulking and maturing on the lowers. Probably will keep doing it for the foreseeable future.

I don’t engage with light games. 12/12 start to finish. Nature rarely goes off schedule. Herms!

Its not gonna herm in 2 weeks its not enough time. And if it did that would just let me know that I need to kill the mother and remove it from my rotation. No room for whimps in my grow.

Nothing fancy here. 18/6 in veg, 12/12 in flower, chop when there are enough amber to suit me. I back lights of the last few weeks then chop. Personally I prefer lights on chopping because the tents are in the way so I can’t rebuild the fluorescent fixtures in the suspended ceiling. That requires a ladder, ceiling panels and electrical fixes and/or bulb or while fixture replacement.
