And I’ve watched too many videos….
What is the difference between harvesting a plant well watered as opposed to letting it dry back for a few, or many days before harvest? Essentially starting the dry before actual harvest.
Or, could you just turn off the lights and let it dry in the container standing upright?

You dont want to harvest dry. Hang whole plant to dry. You did all the working growing it, do it proper to not ruin your end results.

You don’t want too much water available to roots near harvest because of guttation. How fast a plant dries is based on the environment, not how much leaf and stem is on the plant while hanging.

I never water right before harvest anymore. I wait 3 to 5 days sometimes even a week of no water before harvest. The last thing you want is your plant sliming itself with gutation while its hanging in the dry area. I’m all about keeping moisture in the plant for a slow dry. But hanging a plant full of too much water is a disaster waiting to happen

I give my girl’s a day of no water, then harvest the next. I like at least a 8 to 10 day dry ..the longer the better.

Do not water the last few days before harvest or risk guttation. Sap can be released into the buds causing mold.

If i use Real Buckets, should I let the buckets dry up for the last few days?

lost over 4 ounces of my Durbin Poison plant this morning from Bud rot. The two biggest colas were affected. I probably could have saved some of it. Do not feel sorry for me. God blessed me with nearly a pound off a low yielding plant.
