Looking at the Real auto pots , planning indoor grow …. But had an idea…. Anyone ever put the reservoir outside or a different tank for rainwater…. And ran a pex line too the tent in basement ? I would rather not use my city water.

My rain water ph is really high like 9-9.5

Thats as bad as sea water. Normal rain should be around 5.5

Real autopots? I believe thats 2 different things. Real buckets, auto pots, but none the less. Some these systems need a level field, res and buckets need same level so water level stays correct. Some systems like blumat has a gravity res that needs to be above x amount of feet. Make sure you check system requirments on that before a choice.

You got to be careful with rainwater ph as its not buffered just like RO water.. I had this issue running coco and dots this summer.

I’ve seen a lot of fungus, gnats and mosquitoes and things like that in rain water so definitely filter it.

I would also be concerned about the water temperature.
