Beans from China

I got some beans from China and I don’t know any thing about them or the grower. They also don’t look like they are any good. Should I try one or no. My biggest concern is if they are a carrier of a disease that could infect my other plants. What would you recommend?

They’ll probably sprout, but you probably won’t know what they are. Could be fire. Could be junk hemp. Personally I avoid wasting my time with unknowns, especially with a minimum oof 4-5 months before you even will know what you have. That’s a lot of life to give up for a bag of unknowns.

Suspecting disease won’t be much of an issue–the only thing I’m aware of that can pass through seeds is latent viroids and the likelihood of getting a viroids from China (where cultivation is prohibited) is probably pretty low.

If you do pop them keep us updated. They could be useless or they could be some fire but the curiosity of Chinese beans is enough for me to pop a couple if I had the space.

You bought them or you know someone over there that sent them to you? At the very least I’d pop a few outdoors next spring just out of curiosity I love mystery seeds.

If your feeling generous I will certainly try a few

What all documentation do you have on them? How much was that pack? What was the website? I would love a genuine source of Chinese landrace strains.

I got them from eBay. I thought they would come from California or Colorado. But it came from china. Summer_sky17 is the seller on eBay. They have a lot of nsfw toys so look at your own risk

2days in a cup and 2 days in paper towel. Nothing sprouted. All well it only cost me 11 bucks for this little experiment. The left pic have black roots and don’t appear growing
