Can this 4 week old in veg be flowering under 18/6?

I’ve got the photos in my tent with the autos finishing up. They are running at 18/6 on the light. These are the plants I am prep’in to plant outside. This one is about 4 weeks old (but I’d have to check my log). I opened the tent this morning and I know this is only my first grow, but it sure looks like this one is flowering to me. If it really is, what could be causing this? Photo, fem seed, Maracuya from I-49 seeds.

    Yeah that’s flowering!

My guess is you got your labels mixed up and this is an auto.

    • If not the labels then the seeds.

      • What are your thoughts on the newest development? it’s almost like they said “hey these other two are flowering, guess we should too”

        • If you’re 100% sure they’re under 18:6 light:dark then I think they have to be autos. Where did the seeds come from?

  • It’s just going from bad to worse. I have no clue. I went in the tent tonight to water, trim and cut down the one auto flowers that finished. There are two autos left in the tent(at least I thought so). I’m hoping the plants can be seen well enough in the pics. There are 12 plants besides the two autos left in the fabric pots. It looks like every one of them have preflowers on them. I checked the orders I made. Checked the labels and seed counts and besides two Bruce Banners that were regular seeds, the super lemon haze, maracuya, wedding cake and white widow were all ordered as photo Fem seeds. I am running 18/6 on the light. The controller and app have a log and I can see the light time just based on the temps. I know the light is coming on at 4 am and off at 10 pm. I can see me screwing something up and having them herm, but besides light being on for too short of a time, what could cause this? Is there any way to stop this flowering? Can I go to 24 hours of light? Our weather still sucks here and was hoping to put them in the outdoor grow next weekend. Is that even worth it? And words of wisdom is appreciated.

    • @jmystro Do you have a take on this?

      • You’re trying to make an autoflower not flower? Not going to happen. You have no control over an autoflower. My only advice is to trash the garbage plant.

        • 5 different strains that were ordered as regular or fem seeds and they all look like they are flowering (or pre-flower) to me. Since I’m so new to this I have no idea what companies I can trust and what ones I can’t. Do we have a pinned topic somewhere on here with trusted breeders?

          • James Bean created https://seedsherenow.com/ and is the DGC’s trusted seed bank.

          • I suspect the seeds were packaged incorrectly. The strain names may be correct, but they packaged AUTOFLOWER seeds, not fem or regular.

When you ordered, the packs were picked and shipped correctly, unknown to the shipper that theyre the wrong type of seeds in the packs.

            Tough luck

  • Autos are turbo charged no time for you have 60 to 90 days consult breeder.

  • Auto and photo seeds getting mixed up, from the breeder, is somewhat a common thing. It’s not rare that it happens but doesn’t happen all the time. It happens enough that I’m willing to bet that’s what happened in your case. Leave it in a small container and throw it in a corner somewhere. Can be a micro grow.

  • Sounds like a plan. Disappointing. Thank you
