Ok! So I just dried my last harvest at 60/60 for 14 days. I’ve had them in jars for the last three weeks. It smokes good and you can taste the terpenes wanting to come through , but it’s just not there. I’m curious, how long does it take for the medicine to be at its most potent and smoothest? I have read from 2 weeks -6 months and every where in between. If that is the case, then Tom Petty was right; the waiting is the hardest part…

Proper dry takes a month, not 2 weeks. That’s only half my SOP. Off-gassing is not complete after only 2 weeks. Jarring after 2 weeks at 60/60 is a mistake. Leaf is responsible for any hay smell so remove all leaf and stem. Perfectly cured leafy bud will still smell like shit.

    Weeks 1-2: 60F/60%RH

    Week 3: 60F/55%RH

    Week 4: 60F/55-50%RH

    Week 5 : Seal

Dry time 5 days, 1 day hanging upside down in the tent after chop then 4 in the box, initial cure 4 days to lock it in. Leave it be for another 13 days on standby and it’s ready! 22 days and it’s getting me good and stoned. I find that it really turns 🔥 by day 40 and by day 60…legendary!

Interesting technology there. Yeah one of the better growers I know in my area says he only needs two weeks after the dry to lock in the terpenes. I am skeptical, but his smoke is probably some of the best around here that I have tasted, but I’m not even close to two weeks.

I just smoked a bowl of the outdoor run I had just finished 4 weeks in the jar and part of the flower is dank, but I can tell there is still some moisture in the middle. Great video btw 👍

Some of these things just take time to acquire the touch for it. If its not moldy, burns white ash (i find this a moisture not a “flush” factor), and stinks the room when you open the jar… i say good enough for me lol

Like you said as long as it’s smooth. It’s amazing how horrible the experience can be if not done right..
