Drying Question

So grow went great, everything was chopped down a few days ago, had temps perfect for drying nice and slow. Last night my house fan quit working which caused my AC to stop working, and now my house is 82°. The basement probably high 70’s, where my tent is, and cannabis is drying. Question is, simply, am I fucked? Or will i still be able to get a decent cure? Today is day 5 of dry, they still are quite squishy, but i know they will begin to dry much quicker with house temps rising.

Vpd is for while the plants are growing. The chart is kind of vague, what humidity should i run it at, say 79° to keep it drying long enough? And how many terps are already volitizing at that temp? That is my main concern.

Vpd is useful while growing, but it doesn’t cease to exist outside of that. I think that drying chart is brilliant. I saved it.

Wasnt aware vpd was a thing once you cut the plants down and are drying them. I learned something new i suppose.

You can still calculate a reading and it’s still useful information as far as I’m concerned. When you’re drying you’re controlling the movement of moisture from inside the plant to outside. Vapour pressure still has an effect.

That makes since. I guess i never really thought how the drying process still involves transpiration through their stomata, even though they are no.longer living.

Whether or not it’s transpiring through the stomata, the water holding capacity of the air will make a difference.

Humidity determines how much moisture a bud can hold and temperature determines how fast the bud reaches that moisture level. It’s a balance to slowly remove moisture in a cold environment.
