Curious on cultivars that people have grown and the speed and quickness they grow in veg. Not really caring about flower time thinking of growing big plants fast then flower to normal 8-9 weeks or close. Has anyone grown for fast veg? I tried to search but to no luck. Thanks in advance! ❤️💛💚

I tried a 2 week veg then straight to 12/12 the plants reach a certain size then flowered as normal, not sure it saved any time but still got decent yield

Not so much on the veg side because I want to max out my small space with every plant. I have run Fast Buds Orange Sherbet fast flowering. That cut a couple weeks off flowering but I always give them as much time at the end as I can.

Aside from commercial grows or legacy these plants grow according to their own time frame without me breathing down their necks. If I was in that big of a hurry I’d switch to radishes. We used to squeeze a few harvests of those into a northern summer on the veg farm.

Vigor is plant dependent and varies greatly between seedlings. The first clue will be root vigor. Root vigor is plant vigor. Most plants have weak to average vigor. Explosive root growth is not as common and will stand out when you experience it. Vigor and flowering time have no relation.

Try Hemp. Or a vigorous narrow leaf drug type, some have been over-domesticated, but after the first couple of weeks the growth accelerates and some are heavy feeders by the time they are a month old. i would say they tend have the same speed as indica for early life, but… ive burnt broad leaf cannabis that was over-domesticated, just recently, just because im used to a certain level of hunger to appear around 3-4 weeks…
