obiwankentokiParticipantMay 13, 2025 at 2:13 pmThis is my first time growing and my 3 plants seem to be thriving. Today I saw pollen sacs on one of my plants. I’m hoping someone can give me the pros and cons of keeping it and what I should do if I really want to keep it. ( it is my first grow, I have to grow it out) Also, hoping to learn if my environment stressed it and caused it to go rogue. I’ve had a hell of a time keeping temp and humidity in what I’ve learned are nominal values. I know I’ve seen it about 90F and 76% at least once. Those were not both at the same time. When I had the high heat, I had lower humidity because I had a dehumidifier in the 3×3 tent. Turned off the humidifier and temp dropped to 75F and then humidity spikes into the seventies.
I’m not afraid of seeds but it sure is nice when they aren’t there. But, maybe it would be cool to have some.

Water is pollens enemy. I spray my plants with water about 2 days after pollinating them. After my breeding run is completed , I wet everything in my tent down ( not electronics) I use a cannafogger with em5, the em5 helps to clean but it’s the moisture that makes the pollen no longer viable. After I do this a day later I go in and wash everything down with bleach and water, clean the fans with cleaning wipes. And once I’m done I also run an ozone generator before putting new plants in the tent. This is to be sure with all that wet cleaning I did, no molds start to grow. Probably overboard but better than not doing enough. Make sure you get zippers, air intakes etc.. wash every thing. Hope this is helpful.

Lung room- have a sizable space that is ideal conditions to swap your air with
Light leaks? – sit in your tent lights off, with lights on outside the tent and look for light leaks, give a few mins for your eyes to adjust.
my tent is good but I still cover it with a black fabric just in case.
if you do those two things and still get herms you’ve got a bad plant, and should just move on
