Top dress with Diatomaceous earth… it kill the larvae. Stay with the yellow traps for adults, increase bottom air flow because they suck at flying , and allow for some water draw back

2-3ml/ltr hydrogen peroxide works the best in my experience with no side effects, do it twice and they’ll be gone ..get 12% ‘food grade’ hydrogen peroxide it just breaks down to water and O2

I’ve honestly tried all of those and so much more. The only products that I’ve found that eliminates them entirely is bacillus thuringiensis. The biolarvicide kills the larvae. I use WDG 3000 from BAS. I hope this helps. Happy growing.

You will never get rid of fungus gnats if you don’t break their life cycle. This involves targeting their eggs. Fungus gnats can not just lay eggs in any puddle of water like a mosquito. Their larvae needs a food source, roots. Keep the top 2 or so inches of the soil dry to prevent females from laying eggs. Easiest way to keep soil surface dry is to ‘fluff’ it up and break the soil’s surface tension that allows capillary action to wick moisture up to surface. Prevent their eggs from hatching and they’ll be gone.

clearing out the main branch radius is important to get high airflow. the large amount of airflow on just the base branch can prove to be very effective along with sticky paper and mosquito bits to kill larvae. when I had an infestation I used mosquito bit soaked water once every 3 days, just enough to soak the first few inches of the soil.. i did this for about 2 weeks. then I made sure the air flow was huge where the main stock is, this way nothing can fly into my pot without it being essentially impossible. this makes the environment too difficult to survive in. in the end it worked our well, I also placed one sided sticky paper on the outside of my pots where airflow is blocked, I do this to catch any stragglers attempting to survive.

Mustard seed meal sprinkled on surface, water in with nematodes. Will never see them again!

This sounds crazy but garlic water works great and organic too! Spray the plants and the soil. It worked great for me

Not sure how you water your plants but I use a 5 gallon bucket to hold my water. I keep 2 air stones running in the water and drop one Mosquito Dunk wrapped in a mesh holder so it wont crumble apart in the water. I use one dunk for 30-45 days and replace it per 5 gallon bucket. It will get rid of those fungus gnats for good if you top water. I have not had a fungus gnat in over a year since using this watering method. It is safe for your plants as well.

Lots of good tips from the crew. I recommend predatory nematodes. Heres an article I wrote with tips on beneficial nematodes and dealing with fungus gnats:
