So I currently have a 3×3 used for my grows and a 2×4 for drying. I’m looking at getting a larger tent to use as my primary tent. How big of a tent would you recommend to run 2-4 larger plants? Thinking a 5×5 would be about right.

  • I’m just getting my new tent set up and it’s the AC Infinity 2 in 1. 4×4 main area. Separate area that you can start seedlings and then another for Veg. I am going to try and run it as a perpetual and that 2×4 to dry would work great with this tent

  • go as big as you can afford and fit in your room. Bigger the grow space easier it is to control + in the future if you want to grow more plants or bigger one you won’t need to spend cash to replace your setup

  • I wish in my early days that I had considered the height tents more. Gorilla Grow has tents that are 6’11” and with included extension 7’11”. I set my 4×8 up in a bedroom with 8′ ceiling, barely. Had to toss their instructions but was able to set it up with an inch to spare. I have to use a step stool inside to reach the top bars. I never have to worry about plants getting too tall. Very high quality too.

    • ive got a 3x5x7t and ,and still reach the light

I agree on the 5×5. Just finished setting mine up that fits 4 real buckets with room to spare. I was running 2 3×3’s and now I use one for veg, one for dry. Works good now for rotating the plants

  • I recently started w/ one 4×4 and just grabbed another 4×4. Don’t forget to consider the amperage you are putting on your circuits. You can cheat and use ai (I use grok) to tell you exactly what amps you’re drawing based on your specific setup(s). I can’t imagine going less than a 4x4x80 cause I’m still hitting my head on the light and so i opted to set up the duct fan, carbon filter & my humidifier OUTSIDE my second 4×4 . This gives me more room in the tent for the plants and the light can be moved up higher without all that extra junk in the tent.

    • I got a 14×14 lungroom on a 30a circuit with a spare 20a circuit nearby so not to worried about power its also not on my house panel its out in my shop.

  • I fit 4 plants in a 4×4 with enough space between. I currently run multiple 4×4 tents. If you wanted more plants than 4 go with 5×5. My buddy rocks one with 5 plants perfectly. I also use a 5×10 and love having all the extra space. It’s also a lot easier to control the environment in the bigger tent. Whatever you decide buy the best you can afford and don’t over think it. Getting more tents is just part of the journey. Good luck and happy growing.

  • go get a wharehouse and do it right… lol

just kidding 5×5 works well and i found the larger the tent easier to maintain

  • I started with a 2×3, then a 2×4, then a 10×10 (too big?).I recently purchased a 5×5 and have 4 rdwc buckets in there. 2 big plants and 2 small ones that are about half the size. If the small ones were as big as the others it would be filled wall to wall. It’s nice being able to unzip the whole thing and get to all sides. The problem is it takes up the whole room if centered. Last year I had the 10×10 set up in the same room. It was awesome! I used the back half for plants and the front had a table for supplies/work space and a lawn chair. 7 foot ceiling so you could stand up. My ONLY complaint was that it took up the whole room. So I say if you have the budget and space, go big.

  • Anyone else in high humidity basement? Do you keep your vents open or closed with a dehumidifier?

    • Open plus I even added some more open vents wot screens. King room is 40%rh but my 4×4 won’t go below 60% rh when I water a full feed 55% rh is the lowest I can get otherwis. First ever attempt so I’m worried about bud mold/rot.

  • Thanks for your replies. So given my available space of 14×14 I should look at 5×5 up to a 5×10. My brother is willing to invest in another tent so budget is pretty open. I would convert the whole room but it also doubles as our smoking room so I’m sticking to tents for now.
