So I currently have a 3×3 used for my grows and a 2×4 for drying. I’m looking at getting a larger tent to use as my primary tent. How big of a tent would you recommend to run 2-4 larger plants? Thinking a 5×5 would be about right.

  • I love the 10×10 full controllable room. That’s my goal b but the 5×5 nice footprint, 1000 w light if you want so you have room to grow from the 800 w and You could fill it out scrogging with two plants with maybe a little room to work

  • I usually shoot for 2 sq ft per plant in veg

  • A 2×2 is almost a little tight for a single plant. I’ve got a 3×2 I can barely fit two autos in comfortably and a 2×2 that I can easily fill out wall to wall with a single photoperiod. Depends on how well you can control the environment and micro climates. For up to 4 plants, I’d go no smaller than a 4×4. Go for the next size up if you have the room for it.

I can’t really do much for mine. The humidity in my tents is usually on the lower side. Pretty much at the mercy of whatever the house is at. I’ll use a humidity dome for seedlings, the tents are too small to run a humidifier. Makes my fan run too hard too often. Raising humidity in my lung room isn’t an option for as having that much moisture in the air all the time I’m sure isn’t good in the long run. Especially it being a room designed to live in and not grow plants in lol.

So it’s whatever you’re equiped to handle more or less.

I think 5×5 would be the perfect tent size.good luck in whatever you decide.
