There is an extremely damaging virus sweeping across North America, infecting cannabis crops and drastically affecting crop quality and yield. You may not be familiar with the virus as it is relatively new to cannabis crops, with the earliest known infections emerging from California in 2017.

It’s called the Hops Latent Viroid, and it’s being detected in LP grows all over Canada.

Wtf, and nobodies talking about this?

The crazy thing is that some of the symptoms are similar to other deficiencies or maladies, but in a video (From the Stash) they said Hop Latent Viroid caused some plants to grows branches more laterally from the stalk instead of 45 degree agle or close, like normal.. I am going to delay training of my youngsters until I observe clean branching begin in at least a few nodes to be safe, and see if that messes me up at all.

It’s a big problem out west where clones are shared and sold at scale. It’s all anyone talked about for years. This is why we tell new growers to source their own genetics from reputable seed breeders. Buying other peoples problems is a known thing.

It’s a Pathogen that messes up your harvest. Buds turn out airy like nothing left to harvest.

    Look it up, it’s important.

Soon we will have to buy seeds and clones from only tested vendors.

At least I hope we will be able too.
