80-82F is ideal for most plants. They’ll acclimate to higher temps though. Large swings are a problem. Keep the environment as stable as possible at all times, day and night. Higher temps will require the plant to consume more water. The issue with really high temps is the plant will spend energy trying to keep itself cool rather than grow at optimum levels.

I struggle with the same issue. One “trick” I’ve found is lower your light closer to the canopy and then lower the strength of the light. You can maintain the same ppfd but the lower power settings lowers the temp. It works.

Over 85 nitrogen slows down, and as Jay said, plants waste enegy to keep cool, i think this all gets worse if you have low air humidity, so avoiding high temps is priority, but with high humidity and good air exchange plants are more resilient to high temps.

My tents run around 75-79 overnight with lights on and 68-72 in the lung room. I was having a helluva time with 95 outside and having to Keep the door to the grow room closed. I purchased this portable AC a few weeks ago and it has been a game changer.

Get you some 6 inch insulated ductwork and slide it over your exhaust that’s going out. Definitely makes a difference

Mine is also an awesome dehumidifier. Pulled a 5 gal bucket a day during rainy days. Game changer for the lung room and dry room.
