Does anyone have experience switching to a different lighting style mid grow?

I have a grow tent in vegetative growth right now using a Ceramic metal halide light fixture. Im about to flip to Flower but want to change the lighting to LED. Would this be ok?

I have heard that changing lighting style mid grow can cause stress issues with plants showing unwanted growth tendencies. Its the difference between the two light qualities that makes them freak out. Is this true?

Can you run them together for a few days? Like a wheen into the other spectrum. An acclimation.

You’ll be fine in veg. I wouldn’t change light mid flower.

If the light intensity is similar I don’t predict any issues. You’ll want to start ramping up intensity to keep your DLI in range anyway.

Shouldn’t be a problem. I regularly veg under different lights than I flower under.

Back in the day before the glory of LED lights you would’ve wanted to change from metal halide to HPS for flowering. They were big, heavy and hot 🥵 Worked great for a winter garage grow😎

You mean like the old days? lol, LEDs have us so spoiled. There will be no harm, only a slight possible morphological change in bud structure. Hopefully for the better.

I have the same issue I have a farm lite 390 been doing decent but I’ve stepped up now I have a medic grow fold 800 guess I’ll finish the last 3-4 weeks under it then rock that medic grow light
