Hi, first post (and grow) and thought the DGC crew might share some advice. Is this normal senescence or am I running into trouble. Thought maybe she was running low on N but the bottom leaves are green. Details are below and thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hella Jelly, 6 weeks into flower, Living Soil, BAS feeding/top dressing throughout. I got into week 5 flower and started feeding build a bloom (2-10-5) and Recharge as I thought this would hold me till the end. (Hella Jelly is supposed to be a 45 day flower(according to HSC) but I know it can go longer)

Its just slightly too much P, carry on changing nothing, or water a little heavier.

The plant is a bit underfed and is too early to fade. That’s not normal senescence. Let it ride. It will finish fine in a few weeks.

Thanks so much for the help. I couldn’t help but give it a little love with quarter dose of pure blend pro bloom and some cal-mag plus. She liked it and it’s just fattening up. Those buds are getting tight and big. Crazy how long this can go. I still think I have a couple weeks so my question is what nutrient would you feed (and when) to finish her off. I’ve heard something like Athena fade is a pretty good. I think it continues to give the important flowering nutrients while removing nitrogen, but I’m not totally sure when to start something like that. Again, thanks in advance and I’ve attached some pictures for an update.

Will do! Thanks! Would you recommend something like Build a Bloom now or just water only for the next couple weeks?

Appreciate y’all’s help! Been a couple days and only water and a little recharge. What are you guys (and girls) think? Excess or deficiency?

Have you checked your PH? If you let living soil dry out completely it can make your soil alkaline which can lockout essential nutrients. Have you noticed excess water runoff that can indicate waterphobic behavior in your soil?

Yep. I pH to 6.2 no matter what and I have a ECOWIT soil moisture meter. At this point I am watering a couple liters a day.(plus or minus) and letting her dry back to 35%/45%. I have attached a picture of the Ecowit for the last week. It’s a looks a little wonky because sometimes I do +/- 2 L but seems to be a great way to know when to water. She seems to drink the about the same amount every day in flower. In veg it could be a few days and it was a great way to know when the water. She’s always been pretty happy. Oh, I know it’s a little silly, but I actually have two moisture meters in there. One deep and one Closer to the surface.

Haha some of this stuff has gotten so high tech. I wouldn’t start throwing a bunch of nutrients at a plant the is almost done. I say you keep your good watering scheme going and just let her ride. Sometimes plants are just a pain.

      Cheers

That doesn’t sound like a bad plan. Appreciate it!
