    Hey DGC

Got another crazy question, I use a product called Blumat Tropf watering system. I’ve noticed over 2-3 weeks. Some of the Drippers will have some biofilm(whitish/clear gel) clogging them. So I just go manually through them and clean them out.

I use a 5 gallon bucket reservoir with a constant bubbler(might add a waterproof UVC) and was thinking there had to something to help prevent this problem. I do drain just the reservoir (not the lines) every month.

Would this product work BIO-CLEAN in my situation and not hurt my plants? My plants are in 15 gallons pots and fully organic living soil( full of worms and beneficial insects).

Any help will be appreciated. I do have 30% vinegar to clean the lines, tank and droppers every grow(A lot of work to do every few weeks).

    Bio-Clean FAQ:

WILL IT WORK ON A CLOG?

If the material is biodegradable, yes. However, in most cases, the stoppage is not caused by a complete clog of something in the trap. Most likely, it is several feet of pipe that is filled with firm “sludge”, and it may take several days for the bacteria to eat through this long blockage. Therefore, it is suggested that a mechanical cable be used to restore the flow. Then begin BIO-CLEAN treatments to remove any remaining waste build-up. Regular maintenance treatments will prevent new build-up

i use the same setup. i talked to the company and have been using drip clean. i also tried another product first. this stuff works pretty well but the system just needs maintenance. about every 3 weeks i run near boiling water thru the hoses after cleaning the res. buildup will settle in the hosing too. if the water isn’t hot enough it won’t break free. i disconnect at the 3mm adapter before i start. remove the adapter too.

You can get long, thin, flexible brushes for cleaning gun barrels 😃
