I’m new to growing, I’m actually planning my first grow, and I have a couple of questions about storing seeds. What’s the best method of storing and how long will they last? Thanks!

I keep mine in tupperware in the fridge. I’ve got seeds over 20 years old that still pop.

Do you also put them in a bag that protects them from light?

I’m pretty sure the light goes out when I close the fridge door, haven’t actually checked, but…

Nah, I just use whatever container they came in or had on hand. Old pill bottles, paper caches, those tiny little zip lock bags.

I keep mine in a cigar box with a silica pack I stole from a pill back to keep stuff dry….i bought the cigar box for a single dollar at my local cigar shop!

According to Rasta Jeff who I listen to regularly he says store seeds in a dark dry place…being that he’s a seed salesman I bet he’s right on!
