Seeds during flower

What’s up DGC! I have a question regarding getting seeds during flowering on a female plant.

I understand that stress can make them herm. In the past, I did have an issue with light leak but have since fixed it and I have had a couple of harvests since with no issue. I currently have a Strawberry Cough from RQS in week 7 of flower. I’m standing in the tent right now, and for the first time, I see a couple of seeds scattered throughout the lower branches. I do not see any from half way up the plant to the top.

It has not been in contact with a male. It was sharing the tent with two Cherrylicious by Solfire Gardens that were just harvested a few days ago, and there were no seeds in them.

I have two questions. Is this normal for some genetics? While the pollinate the other three plants in the tent?

    Thanks DGC!

Pollinated pistils will produce seeds and unpollinated pistils become false seeds pods when mature. They look similar in size when swollen but you can seeds as they mature and stigma break off. The entire reproductive organ is called a pistil. The ‘hairs’ are called stigma that collect pollen and the inner seed bracts outer leaves are called calyx. Mature bud looks seeded to a new grower.

I’m curious to know if you are just seeing it in this strain? And are you growing the same plant over and over? If so, then it’s most likely genetics. If not the case my suggestion would be run down the checklist. Double check for light leaks, check your timer make sure it’s not faulty, go over your environmental controls, temp or humidity fluctuations, ph in the water / media, etc. develop a baseline of where your at and make sure your plants aren’t stressing over anything. Best of luck!

Also grow them out and make sure you are seeing seeds. Regardless you will still get some good herb hopefully.
