One of my autoflower beans sprouted with a single cotyledon leaf. Worth saving? Or pop another?

  • Im very curious on what causes this type of thing from seed. I had one that had x3. X3 branch x3 fan leaf. Idk im definitely searching for answers

  • I had this happen on my current grow. It grew fine but seemed to start flowering weeks before the other same strain auto but that one had a calcium deficiency and even though they say they are on a hard schedule, it literally delayed the plant from flowering by 2 weeks before the one leaf plant. In the end, the single starter leaf didn’t cause it to behave any differently and the yield was really good. Grow it.

  • keep it going! you’ll learn more by doing, than by reading about it.

  • Yes keep

  • Interesting to see what you get for the first true leaf(s). Keep for a while.

    Here’s a Trefoil I’m growing right now.

    Good Luck!

  • This is either a genetic mutation or environmental, if the mutation persist in any new growth the plants mutation is causing nutrient intake and development so….

    • I created an album in my profile with additional pictures of this Trefoil. It continues to produce nodes with three petioles. Now at the 8th node, topmost compound leaf has 7 blades. Axillary branches are just beginning to grow at the lowest nodes. I can’t yet determine if the 3-pattern is present in these new branches.

      Thanks for your interest.

      • Really cool. Just looked at those photos you have. How did they flower? was it worth it to grow it out?

        • Pictures were from days 15, 22, 27, and 64. April 24 was day 99 and first day of a scotoperiod of 13 hours.

I will keep this thread alive and the album posted with updates.

          Thanks for your interest!
