Has anyone used Vantana plant science cloning gel? I seen a video of it did some research on it seems to be a good product. One thing that I liked was that it was in a squeeze bottle. The guy literally squeezed some into the hole in the medium. When I use clonex I pour some out into a shot glass and I always seem to waste a bunch

I picked up a dropper bottle off Amazon. Refill it with clonex gel.

This here! I was just cloning yesterday and thinking it would be easier to squirt the gel and fill up the plug hole than to keep smearing around that delicate cut end trying to coat it. The solution I came up with was to just grab another 10mL syringe and a dosing needle (2-6″ long blunt-tipped needle–I use them with varying size syringes for drawing up nutes from bottles), draw up some gel and just squirt it into the hole. Saved me several minutes across 10 cuts and the cutting’s probably better off for it.

Hydro growers should put any excess gel in a nutrient reservoir and not back in the bottle.

Should I throw some into the water I’m going to use for the first first initial watering?

I liberally dump IBA in hydroponic reservoirs when initially feeding unestablished clones that have recently been transplanted. A little rooting hormone will help the initial roots explode with new growth. Most important thing to know is to not splash or drip any hormone on leaves. If you do just use a water spray bottle to wash it off immediately.
