Which grow tent do you prefer?
Posted by ghostgrower on January 22, 2025 at 4:33 pmI am looking at replacing my grow tent soon, this first generation Cloudlab 844 has served me well the last several years, but is now starting to get pinholes here and there. So I’m looking for thoughts on 4×4 tents on the market now. What is your preferred tent, and what about it do you like?

1st choice AC Infinity because of quality for price point. But If you want the best durability, thickest poles, and even more heighth, I’d go with Gorilla Grow Tents. They are pricier than other tents, but the durability is best in class for sure.

Go with the one with heavier cloth, heavier poles with quality construction as the deciding factor

I’m loving the spider farmer tents. They are well made. Covered zippers. Don’t have any light leaks anywhere. Their gear is really decent as well. I am running a 4×2 and a 4×4. I have a 3×3 I use for drying. It’s a cheap “living room” tent.

Went spider farmer 2×4 mainly due to it being 3 inches larger in size . That’s what she said.

I actually didn’t like this. I thought I was getting a 2×4 then got something that hardly fit my room. I’d rather it be the size it says rather than an “estimate”. The 2×4 seemed huge and a 2×2 seems tiny.
Them doing this actually makes it harder know what you’re getting.

Spider farmer was advertising it 2.3×4.3×6.3 but can understand that. i assumed it was 2x4x6 until I started really looking into it

My endgame tent was always guerrilla tents, but I valued height above all else. I currently run Vivosun and mars hydro with no quality issues though for years. One cool thing about the guerrilla tent is its more flexible with 1 ‘ or 2′ extension. You could fit it anywhere years down the road if space was ever issue, but it be nice having 7′ 6” – 8’ 6″ sometimes

2 gorilla’s and 1 ACI. gorilla all day long. can’t beat the height

My Vivosun kicks ass. It’s a 4×8. The most important thing is, what’s in it? In my case, it’s chock full of AC Infinity gear. And good genetics.

cant beat a 15 year old hand me down no brand that’s torn to bits covered in tape, top notch 😅

I’m using GreenHut tents have 3 with no issues as of yet going on 2 years

I have 3 AC Infinity tents. A 2×2, 4×4, and 5×5. I went with AC Infinity because the fabric used was the thickest available at the time, and I need all the help I can get since my garden is in a unfinished basement. Gorilla Tents are the Cadillac of tents I hear, but the low price, quantity, and the fact it supports the show…I love my tents!

I’ve got both aci 5×5 and a gorillia grow 5×5. The quality goes with the price point. Although the aci tent is very nice. The gorilla is just that much nicer. The only draw back is if you get the height extension it’s a pain in the ass to move with zero ceiling clearance. The height is freaking awesome for bbw. 🌲🔥💨💚☮️

I’ve got everything in the grow room from AC Infinty to Ktaxon (cool grows and thirteen other off name brands) from Walmart. I’ve even made them from 2x2s and panda film with dust barrier zippers too. Thats the least expensive option that lets you customize to your space but it takes being kinda handy and adventurous… and owning your home if you’re anchoring to walls, floors and ceilings.
The newest addition was my first AC Infinity tent (5×5) and although I wish it were 7′ It’s absolutely the best quality I’ve seen for the money. Awesome zippers and tons of access holes. The poles are huge in comparison and it just oozes quality. Just kicking it into flower for the first time. Zero complaints other than an additional foot of height so I can be lazy with the hazes and equatorials. 🤘🏼

Just avoid Vivosun at all costs. The only thing worse than their build quality is their customer service.

This is how I felt about Spider Farmer. False Advertising, Light leaks, Overheating, Entire lack of support. Then they made *ME* pay the return shipping with having prime. It was hours long fighting with Amazon to get my shipping cost back.
Beware if you’re from Canada due to the false advertising. Seems like you’re buying a smart tent and the price matches up on their site. Then you get a dumb knob tent with a jet engine intake making it useless.
-
I could not agree with that. I have four vivosun set ups. I’ve only had to deal with customer service one time about a fan and they took great care of me.

AC Infinity best deal and quality. Never liked gorilla tent feels over priced.
