Biochar

I am thinking about my outdoor grow this year and wanting to add biochar to my garden. Wondering if anyone has used Recharge to innoculate their charcoal?

I have not. However, I am always throwing chunks of incomplete burned logs into my compost. Recharge is really needed when the root Is present. Apparently this is not something that multiplies on its own. At least not without a root.

Add a little at a time, biochar will actually remove nutrients from the soil and needs to be super charged in small quantities at a time. There is plenty of good info on biochar applications out there.

It’s going to concentrate in those areas anyway. I just mix it in with the coir.

I have a good supply of chicken shit & compost to innoculate my biochar with. I still plan to mix in some recharge for good measure. Thinking the more I supercharge my biochar with microbes, the less likely it’ll be to draw stuff out of the soil.

I make my own biochar, and always soak it in recharge before adding it to my pots
