Aren’t gateway drug the drug the taker has direct access to? When I was teaching high school the big thing was “Pantry” Parties. That was the name around here. Just parties where the kids raided their parent’s “medicine cabinet”. Pain pills. I’m in Appalachia. “The Hills the Pill Mills Killed”. But in conversations with anyone 50+? Kid in the 80’s. When all you hear for years and years is, “weeds a gateway drug”! That’s all older generations heard. Older generations are the people who make up the largest voting pool.
Just wanted to share/ I have DGC episodes on in the background. I imagine if we continue advocating for our rights to grow. And after about +- 20 years of decriminalizing and pro / positive cannabis propaganda, the Feds will Decriminalize. <- Just some thoughts the “Debunking Myths “!show provoked. “Prediction “ ! ☝🏼 <Old guy on plane with dog in Seinfield . “Farfal!” Seinfeld fans get it 😂 ✌🏼DGC! ☝🏼🤟🏼

As yes, that “reefer is a gateway drug” thing, is as old as the long lost war on drugs. I still remember pamphlets in school with horrid pictures of supposed heroin addicts and the tagline Reefer is the gateway drug.
Reefer is as much of a gateway drug as mothers milk. In fact it can be argued that Cannabis can help people get rid of their opioid addiction. As well as alcoholism.

As I sit here and I’m 43, I tried beer and cigs first , then weed years later. So in turn I really can’t agree with you at all on it’s a gateway. Alcohol is the gateway to ALL. Over 2 decades of BS. 2yrs sober finally 🤙. Everyone tried alcohol and cigs first. I didn’t try weed till I was in the 6-7th grade(yes I know, I was there lol ) smoking it out of a tire gauge we turned into a pipe. That would have been ‘94-95 roughly. But no, it’s not a gateway. Alcohol has and always will be.

Alcohol is the worst gateway drug by far, in terms of psycho-social perspective or bio-chemical science . This is undenieable, if you ask me.

I always say the “gateway drug” was when you were 4 years old and discovered that if you spun around really fast you’d get dizzy. 🤓

No cannabis isn’t a gateway drug 😂.. it was Alcohol and pills that led me down the path of serious drug use and abuse.. but if you have a addictive personality you need to be wary no matter what you do.
That is like saying if eat chocolate you will get fat.. 😂 it’s self control that’s the problem.
Ill be 100% with the you the DGC family, I was a heroion/ fentanyl addicted for over 10years. . I’ve been clean for about 2 years now 🥳 I was in a serious car accident and I was on morphine/ katamine and other opioids the help with the pain through recovery over a 2year period.. I left the hospital a addicted..
I use cannabis to help detox, I took up hydroponics as a hobby, cannabis saved me 💯
