• Prepping for next grow.

Im going with Cannacocoa /Dots for a easier grow this time. With pests, has anyone put beneficials in the cocoa( if there is) to help with the IPM from the start? I want to cover my soil so i know that can be somewhat taken out of the equation so more focus of IPM can be where its visible and not pulling guesswork? Any information is benefitial. I dont have a greenhouse YET just a sealed room with air from my house exhausted outside. Winter is in the high negatives so something that wont just dies off because its not summer weather.

Ive been searching online but what better place to ask a question than to our awesome patrons of the DGC.

      Thanks guys

Your main IPMs would be fans constantly moving air everywhere to combat fungus and mold and maybe a sticky trap or 2 to catch and identify quickly any unwelcomed visitors should they arrive. Start with a clean room. Alcohol doesn’t sterilize, bleach sterilizes. One last thing, I guess using recharge once a week could be considered part of the IPM on a soil level. For an indoor grow I really wouldn’t use any pesticides or UV lights or anything for prevention, Best practices for entering the grow room will be your best friend.

        • @frogslayer I work out in pasture land , I always go straight to the shower never dirty in the grow. I spend more time cleaning the grow than the house because it stays clean haha. I don’t have the yellow sticky’s just a hanging at canopy fly trap which works up top because if it flys it’ dies. 4” ACI exhaust operating from the 69pro monitoring, ductwork from my slider into the grow ,a 4” in-line pushing air, a 6” on the floor helping suck and push airflow because I haven’t gotten the better ducting and have it pushing so kinda being used to circulate but helping suck air into the room. It’s taken some tinkering to get here to this point. The door is 4’ off my back patio. So it is subject when I open the door quickly. I only use pesticide around the house outside and perimeters inside. Regular yearly thing, but it’s a new house so I’m fixing what the last owner neglected. I had no idea till the grow got to a critical stage and bugs came. It’s a never ending battle of nature. Sorry bro, I’m baked in the grow doing my thing with the ladies.
