Have you considered a venturi valve for aerating water?

Air temperature and quality is a concern when using an air pump. You want the water temp around 68F. Do not pump hot grow room air into your reservoir, especially if supplementing CO2. Air stones are not going to keep salts from forming. You can not see plant available minerals. Any particle you see in your res is unavailable. Some salts…
