You have a salt build up for sure if you don’t water to run off with mineralized nutrition. Every dry back concentrates minerals causing salts to form.

First thing to do is find out about where the pH and EC/PPM buffer of the soil is with a quick run off test using RO/distilled water. RO has no pH or mineral buffer. The run off will give a little more accurate result. A decent test is to use about an equal volume of water to media and then check the run off numbers. If pH and/or PPM are out…

Growing up in Huntington Beach for 30yrs before leaving in 08, I had only gone to LA 4-5 times haha. Just don’t go to jail at Twin Towers not a fun place to be. I can only imagine now.
