As long as there’s moisture, the seedling can come completely out of it’s shell before transplanting so don’t feel any need to rush. Most wait until the tap root is about an inch long. Don’t lay the paper towel flat. Prop the paper towel up vertical so the tap root can form perfectly straight down between the fold.

The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul.

Luckily mine is pretty good with the plants. Might nip a leaf here or there but generally… Even catnip survives her. She does like catnip just the dry stuff that has the oils broken up so she can smell it better. Live she leaves it alone.

My cat loves to go in my tent, he comes running if he hears the zipper. He has no interest in the plants he just likes to hang out.

For me it’s the dog. Had to put a scrog net across the front of the tent to keep him out when I’m working the ladies. Last batch while defoliating he ate all the leaves and got sick hours later. Over the summer he ate a 5″ bub off my deck plant. I tell ya, he likes it just as much as me. 🤣
