      • What stage of life are your flowers in? The stage of life will affect the answer. For example, you can’t afford light leaks during flower.

That said, I don’t leave any open, as there is more potential for unwanted debris, pests, and light leaks. I use my inline (6″ in, 8″ out) and oscillating fans for circulation. I have my exhaust fan set to the ACI controller to run off VPD, but I have the “off” setting to one to keep it on at least minimally at all times.

        • @chonkynugz that’s actually a good idea I just worry about the plants getting no air intake with the tent completely zipped up

          • The only downside that I have seen so far is that I cannot run CO2 with constant air flow in and out. Also, I think a 6″ intake is overkill. A 4′ will do. Im running a 5×5 with the air circulation setup(intake, exhaust, 4 x oscillating fans).

Love the handle btw I remember your shout out on the DGC on Youtube not that long ago

          • @chonkynugz thanks bro appreciate the knowledge love this community so much it’s un real sometimes

          • Mine is 1 vent Quarter way open or it will not maintain humidity inside the tent.

            • I have the opposite problem. My lung room is too humid. It was 71% RPH in my basement this morning, I need to get a full room dehumidifier, I battle high humidity with lights off, My veg tent is loving it. The dehumidifier is hating it in my flower tent.

              • @chonkynugz yea location and lung room can change a lot on how you use your tent.

my tent is in a shed outside I have a AC and Heater in the lung room to control the temp but since I live in Colorado my Humidity is always low so without a humidifier i wouldn’t be able to get up there.

              • @rencortez bro I’m dealing with the same problem I got a room dehumidifier and 2 small tent dehumidifiers in each tent it’s still 70% rh in my tents and I’m In 3rd week of flower so plants ain’t liking it could be why my plant is yellowing

              • Currently my flower tent has one vent open with a screen over it and also facing a wall that remains with no light all the time except for when the tent is open.

But my veg tent has no inline atm, so it is completely opened up to allow max air flow while I have teo fans moving air inside. It is keeping humidity in a good range without an issue. But it helps that the ambient light jn the room is next to nill.

Both tents sit very close to a portable ac unit which is keeping the temp manageable in the 3×3 veg

                • Thank you all for the input somthn so simple of a question just was never talked about on the show ….. best community in the world

                  • None. I use a supply air fan. I use an ac infinity fans (one each) to supply and exhaust the air. This way I can filter the air before it enters the tent and keep all the flaps closed. This way I can control whether I have a positive or negative airflow within the tent. Supply air comes in the bottom and exhausts out the top.

                    • I leave them all open now but I found these on Etsy they are kinda expensive but they filter and keep light out. They could probably be made pretty way as a diy thing.they fit right over the vents and no light leaks at all

                      • Air exchange is a real concern. I agree with @chonkynugz . Light discipline is also a concern. With that being said, I use the two bottom air duct openings for intake without concerns with light. This is accomplished by using ducting to ensure light does not get into the tent. I even use cut to fit carbon filters on the intake ducts. Let me know what you think and if this helps.
