    Storing Your Cannabis Pollen

Some growers choose to let their pollen dry for up to 48 hours before storing it for long-term use. If you’re planning on drying your pollen, spread out the pollen with a brush across your parchment paper and place it in a dimly-lit room with no air movement, temperatures between 65º and 75º F and humidity levels between 30 and 60 percent. When it’s dry enough, you can funnel your pollen into an airtight storage container. Keep it away from moisture and sunlight and at room temperature

AC Infinity is the brand I use, but I know growers that use only mars. Check out Bill Ward on youtube. The size tent you use depends on what you’d like to produce. I started in a 2×4 and found it cramped my plants. One plant will fit in a 3×3. I am currently going for a 3×5 tent, using the 2×4 for veg. A 3×5 will grow two plants comfortably. You can grow in a 2×4, but if you grow well they will be cramped and require a lot of training. Most important if you intend to grow don’t skimp on height. I think the 80″ high tents are best. My 2×4 is also 60″ tall and I’ve had trouble with plants growing to close to my light and getting burned, light burn that is not combusting. I started growing with a vivosun 2x4x60″ tall tent and a blurple light. I still use the tent for veg. I since bought Vipar Spectra lights, (cheapest light I could find that met my requirements). They are now 5 years old and running fine producing the dank, that is way better than the despo. The only thing I didn’t like from AC was their fabric pots. They only have three gromets that are more suited for hanging a pot than training. I haven’t used their lights, but their tents and fans are great. It’s a definate game changer to control your temp and humidity with their controllers. I have four inch and six inch inline fans with a controller 67 and a controller 69. AC carbon filters for both. My six inch filter is refillable. Both work well to hide that dank aroma. AC infinity is probably the best, and remember you get what you pay for. DGC also has discount codes for AC. Hope this was helpful…good luck growmie!

PS Your plant looks great so far.

Keep in mind that some strains produce purple stems because of their genetics. If your plant is otherwise healthy you probably don’t have to worry. Anthocyanin Is responsilbe for the purple stems, and is responsible for coloration of many plants. It can express as reds, blacks, blue, and purple coloration.

The most common purple problems come from hydroponics nutrients disorders and root zone issues. Phosphorus and magnesium lockout or deficiencies are at the top of the list.

Purple stems can also come from nitrogen or potassium deficiencies or lockouts.

Nutrients issues can be frustratingly complicated. The purple coloring can also be a response to light or heat stress.

I don’t use EC I use PPM. That being said; it looks like a pH issue to me causing an uptake issue. Besides pH, it could be watering, an imbalance of cal/mag (LOL), or an issue in your rhizosphere. Good luck growmie we’ve all been there.

light is light whether LED or HPS. They’re not the same spectrum, but LED and HPS lights will work the same on a track system. Most important will be the PAR. As long as your plants receive an equal amount off PPFD within your DLI you should be golden.

First of all that is not tobacco. Second , the only way I know to see how this plant will express itself is to grow it. I have a very small grow space and do not grow unknown genetics. If you have room grow it out and see what happens.

Haven’t popped dorthy yet. I gotta grow a couple autos after sophia finishes to keep up my supply. They are some long flowering girls, so you may want to flip a little earlier than you usually would.

There are many reputable sources for great genetics. I have had great results from several different soources. I am currently running the “Golden girls.” from Irie Genetics. Shout out Rasta Jeff. I had great results from Ethos, Humbolt, even ILGM. That’s right even there. I mainly run autoflowers due to my limited space. I always get feminized seeds. Many breeders are having great sales right now.

All that being said; I am going to stick with Irie genetics. The reason being, Jeff helped me out when I was in a tuff spot. Being a disabled veteran on a fixed income; I have an extremly limited budget. I contacted Rasta Jeff as he offered free “purple heart ,” seeds to vets. I sent the 10 bucks for shipping and waited for my pack of three seeds.

I was amazed when I received 3 seeds of all four of the Golden Girls plus three seeds of afterglow. I grow for myself and only have a 2×4 tent. This limits me to 2 plants every three or four months. The “Sophia” strain that is Albany Sour Diesel crossed with Golden goat covered my entire 2×4 with way to many tops for my 10gal pot.

I grow organically in living soil. I top dress every 4 weeks to maintain my plants health and am now on my second top dress. Yes shes taking her time finishing, but Jeff told me she was a 10 to 12 week finisher. By the looks of things she will be well worth the additional few weeks it will take to get her in the drying process.

Of course transplanting earlier would help. First lets try to acclimate your girls by starting them off with your light dialed down, (around 600 PPFD). Slowly turn em up in about 200 PPFD increments over a two week period.

You may also prune your roots, and loosen them up a little. Sprinkle them with some mycorrhizae. I use “Great White”, or “Mycos”.

I seldom use foliar sprays, but when I do I use thrive from build a soil. This is already formulated with kelp, and fish stuff.

Last but not least, give ’em some recharge. I often water in with Aloe to add a rooting hormone, and increase the plants resistance to disease. If you use aloe make sure the Aloe Vera you harvest is from a sexually nature plant.

Smaller plants get the Aloe, bigger plants get the recharge.

Good luck, I hope I have been helpful.

This is another example of my ignorance. I grow in living organic or super soil. I threw away (sold ) my Apera ph pen after my third grow in organic soil. The recharge and microbes take care of my ph, so I never worry about it. I used to struggle at times when I used GH imputs growing in coco. To make it even easier I use an “earth box,” that also eliminates my watering mistakes. As easy as Scotty’s sip bukets. Look down a pipe no water add water…easy peasie.

Since you’re using grow dots , your nutes should be there. I would check out my ph. You may have an embalance. Try plain water around 5.8 ph and see if that helps. ph is important when using synthetic nutes and grow dots are synthetic.

My dry ares is in a wardrobe in my bedroom/lung room. It’s winter time so I can close my door at night and open my window. My grow is also in my bedroom with lights on at night. I have an ac infinity controller that runs on level one constantly to exchange air. My grow blows out warm air , (around 75 to 80. The window open cools my grow and my dry area. Seems to balance out. My humidity dips from time to time and usually I can just hang a wet wash rag in there and it stays around 55% to 60%.

I give em 6 weeks to start. If they don’t flower by then, I flip to 12 12 and see if they flower in the next 2 weeks. Kinda throws off your schedule when growing autos, but I have had photos pop up. Plant size increases, nutes, water, and time also.
