Yes! That’s absolutely the norm. The roots will fill the space and wrap around the air stone(s) if it’s a healthy grow. The roots kind of become their own medium. The air bubbles from the stone will move through the root ball and be in direct contact with the roots. You’re good.

I use a blurple for veg in one tent, and while light led’s in other tents. The plants under the blurple actually veg much better! It’s less efficient, is heavy, and has fans…but grows some really nice plants in veg phase. I switch over to white lights for flower now though. Seems to deliver more bang for the buck.

I haven’t had any problems with the zippers…but I guess I don’t really use the bags that way. I heat seal them and use them for long term storage. I pack up a bunch of half ounce bags and dump a bag into a pint mason jar for my day to day use. The half are also a good amount to gift to friends and family…which is where most of it goes. Anyway…no failures at that rate of use. I’m glad to hear they took care of the issue for you. They should since the bags aren’t cheap.

I just bought one because I have a really hard time managing humidity in my dry setup. My humidifiers just couldn’t keep up…it was so humid and damp around here this year. Had a hell of time getting the buds dry enough. I dry in a basement so the temp was very steady at about 65-68 degrees, but relative humidity can be all over the place. The first Cannatrol run worked really well for me. I placed an Inkbird hygrometer in the unit during the dry and cure cycles to check the built in measures it displays on the screen. The hygrometer took a reading every 10 seconds. The Cannatrol held the temperature, dew point, and humidity super steady for the entire run. Temp only fluctuated about a half degree Fahrenheit, and humidity only fluctuated about .25%. It definitely works as advertised. I was hesitant to spend that kind of coin, but I’m really glad I did.

The plants flowered under the blurple produce very respectable bud for me. I would think that, as long as enough ppfd out of the lights, you should be fine. I like the white lights I run now much better though. If you are using the blurples, it’s really helpful to have a regular light in the space as well so you can visually inspect the plants periodically. Much easier to see issues early.
