• Has anyone played around with stresses to the male plant for desired traits? Any thoughts on this? Or is it cemented in the dna what it produces.

    • Traits are genetic. Their expressions are influenced by their environment.

      • Stresses affect phenotype, not genotype.

So if I was to use a lot of uv during the pollen production, it wouldn’t affect what genetic code the pollen willl create to make more trichomes in the offspring? Like obesity, alcoholism traits are passed down through generations..

      • Hey guys, I’m wondering if anyone knows how long the pollen takes to germinate the pistol? Got rid of my male yesterday. The 5 donors still have pollen on them and I wanna wash them with water to kill the pollen before I put them back in the flower room. Thanks in advance. Have a great weekend!

        • Pollen load size decides whether the stigma receptors stay closed or open. Not enough pollen and the stigma may stay closed. It needs to be open to accept pollen. It takes anywhere from a few seconds to minutes to occur. It doesn’t take long to pollinate stigma.

      • While using Recharge. Should I mix with nutes? I use 4 5 gallon buckets to water. I’m wondering if I could mix up a gallon of water and recharge and inoculate 25+ flower and veg. Plants. Does anyone have any information on the growth of the populations.? Thanks in advance.

        • Mixing Recharge with your nutrients is fine. It’s more cost effective to mix Recharge separate, after watering in nutrients if you’re mixing a large volume. You’ll use less Recharge. If it takes 20 gallons to water your plants I wouldn’t put Recharge in all 20 gallons. Recharge mixed in 1 gallon of water should be enough to inoculate 25…

          • I hand water in my recharge because of the staining of my reservoir and pumps. It’s easier for me to keep my system clean if not adding recharge to it.
