It’s my first grow and so far feeling cautiously optimistic but had a transplant timing question. What type of how much growth should I look for before transplanting? Thanks for all the advice so far – I’ve learned soooo much.

Looking good! I usually wait until the top growth fills out to the edge of the cup. A lot of folks say the roots mirror the upper foliage. If they are autoflowers, I put them in the final pot as soon as they look like they can handle it.

If you’ve cut holes in the bottom of your cup, wait until you see roots.

Seedlings should establish decent roots within the first two weeks. You can transplant then or any time you want really.

3 to 5 weeks depending on how healthy its looking and if its a photo.

I have clear solo cups that I put inside the red solo cups. So I watch the roots more than the growth of plant. But typically 2 weeks in a solo cup. This is what mine looked like the day of transplant.
