Hey peeps! Just harvested dryed and trimmed! Now I’m curing my fine zkittlez. The bigger buds I cat of the stem and after a week and a half it’s already smelling great! But the lower growth I left on the stem to cure, this isn’t smelling very great tho, this just the smell of the stems? Or is is it gonna f up mu batch..

Remove all leaf and stem before sealing. Leaf is the culprit.

@jmystro Good to know. My first buds were super tiny and I left sugar leaves on. Would this be why they don’t smell much?

@ZoomyCat There are several variables that contribute to smell or a lack of. Drying conditions are a major contributor. You can do everything perfect and produce weed with no smell or a bad smell. The genetics may or may not have a desirable chemotype to begin with. Tiny buds with immature calyx will never have the surface area to produce many trichomes and plant matter will be the dominate smell.

@jmystro I do get a nice citrus out of it, but I generally have to be right beside the plant. I think this one just smells nice and not really like the typical loud cultivar.
