This is the exact opposite of nature. Limiting root space is not a good thing. Over-watering is always the problem. Not the container size. I’d never grow a seed or clone in a solo cup for any amount of time.

Well I ran into a new one two days ago… anyone know what caused this? I thought it may be a pest or ecological imbalance causing a typically beneficial critter to come up the plants, but have not been able to identify anything undesired in my soil or on the plants. It’s just two fan leaves as well… I appreciate any and all input thanks DGC…

That stippling damage does look suspect. It’s not nutritional. Random leaf damage is usually pH related but growers bringing in pests is also common.
