4 months agoAsk a Grow Question Can I get a recipe for base to water use. My robcomes out at 6.0pH and 0.0EC. been adding 5mL per gal of GH CalMag the a pH buffer if needed. Using SIP Buckets similar to the Real Buckets. The problem I have is regardless of nutes used about half way through flower the pH in the buckets drifts up to 7.5+. The leaves begin to lose green and dry out. How can I fix this and stop chasing pH in the buckets? I use recharge but it doesn’t seem to fix the roots hanging in the water. I have varied the set depth from 2.5 inches down to an inch of water. Using wicking cord to get water up to the net pot with coco.

Don’t test the RO. You won’t get an accurate reading until you add nutes.
Test the final nutes pH.

I have zero ppm also. However, I only use two mil of Cal mag. You gotta be careful about giving them too much in vegetation as it can cause some ugly traits later down the line.

At least you’re starting out with awesome water pH! Mine comes out around eight and sometimes nine…
