So me and my family are taking a trip to Kentucky in covington for a few days. After I get back I want to start breeding a few of my regular seeds I got. I wish there was a way to put a poll up but I’ll do it this way
I got 10 snow seeds from msnl
I got 12 party starter from jinxproof genetics
What would the DGC like to see me grow I get back…

Question for DGC, I’m sure this has been addressed. But, if I want to know the sex of my plant. Is it more advantageous to just throw it in the flower tent after a month and see its sex then reveg, or wait for a clone off it to root and sex that? It’s not currently large enough to clone, but I really would love to know.

I would never reveg a plant. Always make a backup if you’re looking for something to keep.

Just gotta hold on and wait to have 7-10 nodes and get in there real close with a microscope, loupe, or phone camera. I feel in my gut about a 60% chance I will see plant privates. Some strains look male at first to me, just have to wait for the tiny white hair or the cluster dusters. Poor plants..we don’t want to make them do a sprint before…

I put my solo cup in the flower room for a week to see. If it’s male it shows me if female it won’t even start making pistols yet. Then back in veg until I’m ready to transplant for the official start of veg. Don’t leave over a week if you see nothing it is female. I learned that lesson the hard way. Once you see pistols it’s gonna need a true reveg.

I don’t think you have to root the clone to test the sex. Just chuck it straight in 12 12 then on the compost when it has done it’s job. Only takes a week or so from what I’ve heard.

Thank you everyone for the helpful feed back. I’m going to be patient and try for a clone and throw it in the flower tent. It’s a Dj Short Breeders Choice #3, so pheno hunting through F2s.

Seeds from plant sprayed with colloidal silver
Safer that way, cleaner, and you’ll get more seeds from a healthy female clone.
