I think I’m gonna read up some more and then decide. Now you’ve got me leaning towards autos because I’d love a quick turnaround. I want to be as involved in the process as much as possible, so I don’t think I’ll be doing any auto watering. Although, I wouldn’t mind using grow dots so I don’t mess up the newts. I definitely want to use coco…

Thanks! I think I’m going to do fem/regular for my very 1st grow, and then try an auto on my 2nd or 3rd grow depending on my results and confidence.

Thanks a milly for the insight! I definitely understand what you’re saying. I’m leaning towards fem/regular so I can have a little more forgiveness since it’ll be my 1st grow, and the fact I can keep it in veg for as long I deem fit seems like a huge benefit as well!

For a 1st time grower, would you recommend fem or auto seeds? I know with fem you can let them veg for basically as long as you want…with genetics these days, will a good auto still provide a favorable yield compared to a fem that’s had a longer veg cycle?

Wanting to start my own grow. Is a 2×2 tent setup too small to start(wanting to start with maybe 2 plants MAX)? Should I go with a bigger tent kit to allow for more plants from the start?

2×4 but then you’re going to decide it’s too small and get a 3×3 or 4×4. I started with a 2×4 and now in a 4×4.

You can definitely start in a 2×2, you’ll just have to grow smaller plants. You can either trellis out one plant and fill the canopy with buds or do a few small plants in 1 gals and achieve the same thing ultimately.

2×2 = 1 plant the entire way, 2×4 = 2 plants, and 4×4 can be 4-10 depending on pot choice. BUT just buy them all, I started with a 4×4 and bought a 2×4 to veg, and a 2×2 for drying and quarantine… so.

The boot holders I use are approximately 1×2 feet. That plants canopy would take up a whole 2×2. That is in a 5 gallon pot which takes up about a foot.
Also keep in mind the spread is 100% due to my training. You could probably run multiple plants in smaller pots just fine though, They won’t ever hit full potential of what they would have hit…

Thanks for all of the replies so far! Definitely think I’ll start with the 2×4!
