In my outdoor grow how far into flower do you need to keep them dry so they don’t get bud rot? Currently second week of flower.

I had a couple autos outside at the beginning of summer. I kept them covered. Did not let anything but the soil get wet when flowering started. Humidity was 80 plus last couple of weeks. They were not dense but not too skimpy either. I had no rot. That’s just what I did. Not 💯 percent it was right to keep the leaves that dry and no foliar feeding.

Keep them dry all the way through flower. Bud rot attacks at the finish line. Never spray anything on a flowering plant and keep humidity under 60% RH.

Does neem count?
-
Uh, ya oil counts the most. I wouldn’t spray water on flowers.
-
Well shit lil late lol. 🤣

How fast does neem oil degrade in the sun?
Active ingredients might degrade but who knows what was imparted on the flower

I dunno but you got me going outside right now to remove shade cloth

Oils should be sprayed during the dark cycle and washed off before the light cycle or they’ll burn. Oils can act like a magnifying glass over a leaf.
-
Does that go for water also? Heard different opinions. Yours would be nice when you get a sec.
-
No, you can spray water during the light cycle. Water quickly evaporates, oils do not.
